Puerto Vallarta is a paradise. What’s not not like? Blue sea, blue skies, wonderful weather and a welcoming culturally rich people who can teach us all a few lessons in how to best appreciate life.

But Puerto Vallarta is not one large uniform city. It is composed of many wildly different neighbourhoods, each with its charms. And I’m sure you’ve guessed already, my favorite is, by far, Versalles.

The purpose of this site is to guide you through the neighborhood by sharing with you where we go to shop, to eat out, to purchase our groceries and to have fun. Hope it’s useful. Cheers!

So, where is Versalles, and what’s so great about it?

Versalles is located approximately 15 minutes from the airport, right next to the Hotel zone. So when you live there, you’re a short walk from one of the two public access points to what are arguably the finest beaches of Puerto Vallarta. But what makes Versalles so special is that it is still a vibrant, yet quiet, Mexican neighbourhood, filled with family owned businesses of all sorts: cafés, grocery stores, specialty stores, fantastic food stalls and casual dining spots, bars and much more. There’s also a large shopping mall and the local Costco. To top it all off it happens to be Puerto Vallarta’s fine dining epicenter. Sounds too good to be true, eh? Well, it isn’t.

This site is still under construction, so if it appears incomplete, come back in a few weeks. Ultimately it will be in three languages and will have the following pages: Eatery, Grocer’s, Retail, Bars, Sports, Services.
